General Sheet Metal, Shreveport, La., installed the Bossier City-based McElroy Metal Medallion-Lok 24-gauge galvalume roof. Randy Lee of General Sheet Metal says the project was difficult because the house didn’t have a deck around it; the crew had to work from scissor lifts. The roof slope is 4:12 (18 degrees) in one part and 6:12 (27 degrees) in another. Typically, installation of the 70 squares (630 m²) would have taken four weeks, but working from the lifts slowed the process to six weeks.
