Fine Points: Each façade exposure on the 208,000-square-foot, 7-story building is designed to take advantage of particular orientations, views and topography. The architecture is organized as a series of layers expanding outward from a grounded central core to capture light and views of the relationship between the interior and exterior. The exterior envelope is composed of glazing set within an aluminum curtainwall and an aluminum composite cladding system. A narrow floor plate and elevated ceilings at the perimeter increase the floor area that benefits from daylighting. Energy efficiency is managed by an envelope with window openings placed according to solar orientation, with lower percentages of open area on the east and west façades.
