Products: The 70,000 square feet (6503 m2) of Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based Petersen Snap-Clad roof panels were made of Follansbee, W.Va.-based Follansbee TCS. In addition, there was 15,000 square feet (1394 m2) of Follansbee TCS flat sheet material from which the flashing and gutters were fabricated.
Fine Points: The new campus provides 100,000 square feet (9290 m2) of space for classrooms, science labs, administrative offices and a library. The architectural aesthetic was derived from the rural heritage of the area with a material palette of brick, stone, stucco, wood and steel intended to establish an appropriate character for future buildings.
