Products: There was approximately 23,000 square feet of SinoCore field-assembled exterior cladding from Indianapolis-based Citadel that was used to meet the design objectives of the project. SinoCore panels utilize a one- and two-piece perimeter trim molding attachment system. The panels were finished in reserve white and regal blue.
Fine points: The new facility serves as a prototype for future middle schools in the Washoe County School District. The $37 million facility provides 198,000 square feet of educational and administrative space in a multibuilding campus environment. The school district sought to provide the community with a sustainable building that made a signature architectural statement through a safe, flexible, and cost-effective design. The design team sought ways to simplify the arrangement of program components to offer site adaptability and evoke school pride through architectural identity.
