A new manual from the Glenview, Ill.-based Metal Construction Association provides general guidelines for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of portable rollforming equipment used to manufacture wall and roof panels. The 31-page Portable Rollformer Best Practices Operation Manual is available as a free PDF document on the MCA website.
The purpose of the manual is to familiarize company personnel and installers with general knowledge, basic operation, safety and maintenance procedures, as well as troubleshooting instructions for standard portable rollforming processes. Topics discussed include safety, operation, maintenance, and job site storage. Several diagrams serve to further explain each section.
